Job Description The Senior Markets Finance team supports the reporting, forecasting and analysis needs of the Senior Markets General Manager and teams supporting the Senior lines of business (including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plans). Extensive Medicare experience with Competitive Bid, Reimbursement, Risk Adjustment and strong analytical skills are required. Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Might perform economic research and studies in revenue/expense, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of contractual agreements. Might summarize detailed revenue/expense data, compare summarized claim data against fee schedules and contracts. Produce contract performance reports, model reimbursement rates, evaluate financial contract modifications and monitor key managed‑care statistics. Research and prepare evaluations on a variety of projects/problems (financial, statistical, operational and cost/benefit analyses). Develop financial models; collect and evaluate data, analyze results. Might gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial payments/plans. Design and produce analyses/reports for department and/or management. Follow and conduct audit processes and review internal controls to ensure financial transactions are accurate, timely and comply with accounting standards, principles and company policy. Provide policy guidance and interpretation to ensure financial records are consistent and comply with company policies and GAAP. Summarize and present complex financial information to senior management. Qualifications In‑depth knowledge and application of financial analysis principles, concepts, standards and strong working knowledge of related disciplines. Knowledge of company and industry practices and standards. Typical experience requirement: 4–7 years financial analysis experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years with a Master's degree. Ability to demonstrate proficiency using computers and related software applications including Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Hyperion Essbase, Microsoft Office, Oracle, SAS and SQL. Strong proficiency in MS Access and Excel (including analytical tools and database development). Demonstrated experience extracting and scrubbing large/complex data sets and producing meaningful analyses and actionable recommendations. Ability to work with internal business partners to provide information, respond to questions and resolve complex problems, questions and issues. Facets experience, including extracting data from back‑end tables, preferred.
