Warehouse Order Selector/Shipping III Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited Bellevue, Washington, United States About this position Job Id : CLI-45911-2 Job Type: contractual Client is seeking experienced Order Selectors to support distribution center operations at the Bellevue Milk Plant. This role requires selecting and palletizing dairy and refrigerated products using voice-directed technology and a ride-on electric pallet jack in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Schedule 2: Tuesday - Saturday (3 openings) Assignment Duration: Initial 60-day assignment with the potential for conversion to a full-time position based on attendance, performance, adherence to safety standards, and business needs. Union Requirement: Employees who convert to full-time status will be required to join the onsite union. Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the United States for an indefinite duration without limitations. Minimum of 1 year of recent order selecting experience required. Previous experience operating an electric pallet jack required. Must be able to obtain our/Safeway certification to operate electric pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions of the role, including: Following safety procedures and training instructions Communicating effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and truck drivers Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy. Physical Requirements Candidates must be fully capable of performing the physical demands of this position. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, stack, and move products weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Ability to frequently lift products to shoulder height and overhead. Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Ability to safely mount, dismount, and operate material-handling equipment. Ability to perform physical labor in a refrigerated environment for the entire shift. Important: Workers will be responsible for individually lifting and moving products as part of their daily job duties. Please ensure candidates fully understand these physical requirements prior to submission. Equipment & Technology Ability to wear a voice-picking headset throughout the entire shift. Ability to learn and use voice-directed warehouse technology. Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment after training and certification. Must be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment maintained at approximately 34°F - 37°F for the duration of the shift. Comfortable working around moving warehouse equipment and machinery. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Must comply with all safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to demonstrate teamwork and professionalism in a unionized work environment. Performance Expectations Accurately select and palletize products according to customer orders. Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures. Hiring Process Qualified candidates will be invited to attend a 30-minute onsite interview. Candidates may be required to demonstrate relevant warehouse experience and discuss prior order selecting and pallet jack operation experience. Dress Code & Required Equipment Safety shoes are required on Day 1. Close-toed, slip-resistant shoes are not considered safety shoes. Must dress appropriately for a refrigerated warehouse environment. Additional PPE may be required based on site safety guidelines Responsibilities: Use a voice-directed order selection system to accurately select full-case dairy, refrigerated, and other perishable products. Operate a ride-on electric pallet jack to pick and transport products throughout the warehouse. Wear a voice-picking headset for the duration of the shift. Build stable pallets and prepare orders for shipment to local stores. Ensure orders are selected accurately and efficiently while maintaining productivity standards.
