Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week assignment with flexible start dates. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care, supporting neuro, ortho, and trauma cases, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and assist during procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout surgeries, responding promptly to any changes.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, and sedation as directed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and patient observations using Cerner charting system.
• Provide call coverage, including two shifts per month, with scrubs supplied.
• Uphold strict compliance with safety protocols, including BLS certification and travel regulations.

Qualifications:

• Gain at least 2 years of OR, neuro, ortho, or trauma nursing experience.
• Hold current RN licensure with active state registration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Cerner charting and perioperative procedures.
• Maintain BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Be adaptable to flexible shifts and quick onboarding requirements.
