Senior Accountant - Remote

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant-Remote. Summary: This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting key financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting. • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports
• Maintain general ledger activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Assist with lender reporting, loan portfolio tracking, and financing-related accounting activities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with QuickBooks
• Experience within financial services, lending, consumer finance, healthcare finance, or loan servicing environments
• Experience with loan accounting, interest income recognition, financing programs, or receivables portfolios
