License/Certification Requirements California State RN License required American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for RNs floated to Medical, PICU, ICU, PCU, Tele, L&D, MFCU, PreOp PACU/OSU, ED and Cardiac. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for RNs floated to NICU, L&D and Post Partum. Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for RNs floated to PEDs, NICU, ED, PreOp PACU/OSU. (Expiration dates for ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications need be 60 days or more from the hire date). For RN III: Specialty certification is required (external applicants may obtain within 1 year of hire) Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years recent RN experience in specialty.
