Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Overview Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks, Nevada. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care with compassion and respect. Communicate with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision and be willing to float to all units. Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients (pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general patient populations) and conduct reassessments as per policy. Utilize the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assign triage categories. Assess and reassess pain, utilize pain management techniques, and educate patients and families about pain management.
