Job Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Technician-Property Management Co for a direct hire opportunity in Newbury Park, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys keeping residential properties running smoothly, preparing units for new residents, and completing a variety of repair, renovation, and make-ready projects. Key Responsibilities Complete move-in, move-out, and make-ready maintenance for residential units. Perform general repairs and renovations, including drywall, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs. Repair or replace HVAC, A/C components, interior and exterior light fixtures, washers, dryers, pumps, and related property equipment. Support retrofit and capital improvement projects while working within approved budgets, contracts, and bid requirements. Participate in monthly OSHA safety meetings and properly use required safety equipment. Respond to maintenance needs in a professional, timely, and service-focused manner. Compensation and Benefits Direct hire opportunity. Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Location: Newbury Park, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills Complete unit turns, make-ready repairs, and move-in or move-out maintenance. Perform hands-on repair and renovation work across plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and appliances. Support HVAC, A/C, lighting, pump, and equipment repair or replacement. Work within project budgets, contract requirements, and capital project guidelines. 1 to 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in property management, residential maintenance, or a related environment. Working knowledge of general building maintenance, repair techniques, and safe tool usage. Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic appliance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related repairs. Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and willingness to participate in safety meetings. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to prioritize maintenance requests. Professional communication skills and a service-oriented approach when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members. Preferred Qualifications Experience with apartment, multifamily, or residential property maintenance. Hands-on experience with unit turns, make-ready work, and renovation projects. Additional knowledge of HVAC systems, appliance repair, pumps, lighting, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Ability to assist with vendor coordination, bids, contracts, and capital project support.
