Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

Compensation Ranges: $58,000 - $62,000 based on experience and education.

A day in the life of a Shift Supervisor at Norris Academy is rarely the same, HARD WORK, EXCITING, IMPACTFUL, and very REWARDING. As a Shift Supervisor at Norris Academy, you will be primarily responsible for the daily management and supervisory control of Group Living operations, under the supervision of the Director of Group Living. This is a 100% onsite position. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safety of residents & staff at all times
• Provide OJT for new incoming staff
• Support and train all staff on de-escalation techniques
• Implement and lead large group activities for the residents
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines, while supervising the milieu staff
• Organize transportation of residents to and from appointments and outings

To be considered you should:

• Have a High School diploma or equivalent, BA preferred
• Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
• Have at least 2-year experience working with autistic youth
• Have a passion to work with and help children
• Be at least 21 years of age

Schedule/hours/shifts: Our 4 days on, 3 days off (opposite the 2nd week) schedule, allows our employees more time to rest, take care of personal affairs, and reduces burnout. Schedule choices are as follows; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (Every other Wednesday) 7am-7:30pm OR 7pm-7:30am
