Construction Materials Testing Technician

Construction Materials Laboratory TechnicianBraun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Laboratory Technicians to join our team. This is a traveling position working on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses and other remote projects.We are searching for individuals who are looking for a traveling position and who are dependable, flexible and enjoy being a part of a team. This position will require working overtime/weekends and working (outdoors as needed) in varying weather conditions. This individual should have strong integrity and self-motivation and be able to perform routine laboratory testing and data entry of laboratory test results in order to verify conformance to construction plans, contract documents and project specifications.ResponsibilitiesReceive and log concrete and soil samples along with additional testing as neededPerforms and understand various laboratory test proceduresManage the Braun Quality system for the laboratoryInput and maintain laboratory test data in our LIMS lab management software.Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating conditionOther miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assignedRequired SkillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to travel extensively, will work at remote projects sites throughout the USWillingness to work long hours and weekends as requiredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formProficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to learn how to use our laboratory management systemsRequired ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentMust have valid driver's license and clean driving recordThe ability to lift 50-75+ poundProficient at running proctors, Atterberg Limits, #200 Wash, and breaking concrete cylindersACI Strength Testing Technician is preferredMoDOT or KDOT HMA, MoDOT, TxDOT or KDOT Soils certifications are also preferredBraun Intertec is a Drug-Free Workplace and requires all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.Braun Intertec employees are encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.Braun Intertec offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, PTO, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and paid holidays.Compensation Range:$50,000.00 - $74,000.00As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.Braun Intertec strives to ensure that its careers web site is accessible to all.
