Job Description

The material handler plays a central role on a data center construction site by managing how materials are delivered, stored, moved, and used. This position focuses on unloading and relocating construction materials, especially electrical supplies, and keeping them organized in designated areas so that crews have what they need, when they need it. The coordinator works closely with onsite electricians and other trades to support daily operations and ensure the project runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Unload construction materials and electrical supply equipment upon delivery and move them safely to designated areas on the job site.
• Organize and maintain material storage areas so supplies are easy to locate and access for onsite teams.
• Coordinate material flow throughout the site to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time.
• Work closely with electricians to confirm they have the necessary supplies and equipment to complete scheduled work.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with various trades, site leadership, and team members to understand material needs and priorities.
• Support general labor tasks related to logistics and material handling as needed on the construction site.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use required PPE while performing material handling and movement activities.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability to support project timelines and overall success.
• Adapt to working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of consistent work history demonstrating reliability and strong attendance.
• Experience in logistics, general labor, material handling, or construction environments.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds as part of daily material handling duties.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work well with others onsite and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals on a construction project, including electricians and other trades.
• Comfort working in a construction job site environment, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position is based on an active construction job site for a data center project, with work performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Typical hours are approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 4050 hour workweek. The role involves regular physical activity, including lifting up to 75 pounds and moving materials across the site. The dress code includes steel toe boots and work pants appropriate for a construction environment. Required PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility gear is provided. You will work as part of a logistics and job site coordination team, supported by onsite leads, and collaborate closely with electricians and other construction professionals in a safety-focused, team-oriented setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaver Dam, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Beaver Dam,WI.
