Assistant Store Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in supporting daily store operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Overseeing a small team of 5-10 employees, this position focuses on enhancing customer service, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective promotions and online-in-store integration. The role involves occasional travel to different store locations and emphasizes both staff development and compliance monitoring.

Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate a team of 5-10 employees to achieve store goals
Manage inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to maintain stock accuracy
Deliver excellent customer service and resolve any issues promptly
Develop staff schedules to optimize coverage and productivity
Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash management
Train and develop team members to enhance skills and performance
Implement visual merchandising standards to maintain store appearance
Oversee store operations and ensure compliance with company policies
Monitor loss prevention measures and reduce shrinkage

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in retail management
Expertise in retail operations and team leadership
Strong skills in customer relationship management and sales analysis
Proven ability in inventory control and conflict resolution
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
