About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director of Project Finance to spearhead the financial aspects of its solar and storage projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the department in raising tax equity, project debt, and corporate facilities to support the execution of a significant portfolio of renewable energy initiatives. This role demands a strategic leader with deep expertise in tax equity and project financing structures, particularly within the renewable energy sector. The Managing Director will be responsible for organizing and leading fundraising campaigns, managing relationships with financial partners, and overseeing all project finance and M&A transactions in North America. Collaboration with various internal teams, including business analytics, development, legal, and corporate finance, is essential to ensure the successful structuring and closing of financial deals. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and have a minimum of 18 years' of energy-related transactional finance experience, with a strong focus on project finance, structured finance, and tax equity. The role requires excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to mentor and lead a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing complex financial transactions, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment. Established relationships within the energy and infrastructure financing sector are a key requirement, as is the ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
