Direct Support Professional - Western Montgomery County

Direct Support Professional Western Montgomery County – Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) / Home Health Aides required to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Role: Assist individuals in daily life activities while encouraging independence, choice, and community involvement. Act as caregiver and life coach to help individuals reach personal goals. New Rates Starting at $16.00 per hour Full and part‑time hours with rotating weekends. Shifts: Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekend Only. Paid Mandatory Orientation (Required for All DSPs) All newly hired Direct Support Professionals, regardless of employment status, complete a mandatory two‑week paid orientation during the first two weeks of employment. Training includes Medication Administration, MANDT, CPR/First Aid, and other state‑required trainings. Common Daily Tasks Serve as a caregiver and life coach to promote independence. Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meals, medication administration, social outings, and shopping. Support individuals with communication and self‑expression. Complete general housekeeping tasks and meal preparation. Help individuals work toward personal goals and community participation. Complete required documentation such as incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, and medical visit forms. Required for Employment Valid and current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record (required). License, insurance, and registration must be aligned with state of permanent residence. Pass background checks and drug screening per state requirements. Understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English. Strong communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
