Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele in Burlington, VT. Travel, 4-week temporary assignment beginning 06/22/2026. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Weekly pay: $2,168-$2,390. Guaranteed hours: 0. This inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry assignment supports a neurosurgical and general surgical patient population in a care-aligned, fast-paced unit. Prior travel experience is required; NIHSS must be completed prior to start; Epic EMR experience within the last two years is required. Candidates should be available to start within the next week and be flexible to a schedule that includes at least every other weekend and adjustments to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult Med Surg/Telemetry patients, including monitoring vitals, airway, and overall safety; perform comprehensive assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and ensure proper documentation in the Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and other team members; participate in daily rounds; update care plans and support timely discharge planning.
- Monitor neurological status for neurosurgical/surgical patients; perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments as required; promptly escalate any acute concerns and coordinate with the stroke protocol when indicated.
- Support wound care, infection control, pain management, and basic postoperative needs; assist with mobility, fall prevention, and patient education.
- Maintain thorough, compliant charting and documentation; ensure accuracy for billing, regulatory, and quality metrics; adhere to unit policies and safety standards.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required prior to start
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel experience required; experience in a large teaching facility preferred
- Availability to start within the next week; able to work a 3x12 night schedule including at least every other weekend; reliable transportation is required (public transportation may not be available)
