Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with NICU Level IV or Pediatric ICU experience for a day shift position at a Magnet, teaching, Level 1 Trauma children's hospital.

Details

• Pediatric Critical Care and NICU work settings within a children's hospital
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Holiday rotation required
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• No floating to sister facilities, though floating within scope may be required depending on experience
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) certification accepted
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience required
• NICU Level IV experience required, though Pediatric ICU experience will be considered
• Epic experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with bronchoscopy preferred
• Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation required
• South Carolina RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers considered depending on position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius for full travel rate consideration
• During hurricane season (June through November), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
