HVAC Journeyman

The HVAC Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in various settings.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and components

Install, maintain, and replace HVAC equipment and related components

Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of HVAC systems

Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records

Follow safety procedures, codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications: Relevant certifications (EPA 608, NATE)

Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in HVAC field

Hands-on experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems

Previous experience in a Journeyman or similar role

$28.85 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

KNOWLEDGE: Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success Knowledge of refrigeration principles Familiarity with HVAC codes and regulations

SKILLS: Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills Use of diagnostic tools and troubleshooting Strong communication and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail
