What You’ll Contribute to OHM AdvisorsOHM Advisors’ Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager with a strong background in sewer conveyance design and pipeline rehabilitation to join our growing team. As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will directly contribute to and lead a team in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on sewer pipeline rehabilitation. This role offers the opportunity to function as a lead engineer and/or project manager on complex sewer rehabilitation challenges.Your Responsibilities:Assist and/or prepare and manage scope, schedule and budget for contracts. Managing staff, subconsultants and expenses during project implementation. Serve as Project Engineer and/or Project Manager with full technical responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution of tasks for small or larger projects.Preparation of contract specifications and drawings.Planning, design and construction of new pipelines (pressure and gravity) or rehabilitation projects ranging in diameters and material type including condition assessment and prioritization and rehabilitation of existing pipelines Pipe design calculations to determine pipe size, pressure class, external loads including trench design, pipe joint selection, etc.Technical expertise in the layout and profiles of pipeline design in AutoCAD Civil 3DUtility investigations and coordination to determine and resolve potential vertical and horizontal utility conflictsKnowledge of subsurface and geotechnical engineering requirementsField surveying project requirementsSewer system evaluation surveys; inflow/infiltration studiesDevelopment and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, and data analysisOffice and field engineering support during constructionRequirementsEducation, Experience, & Licensure:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) requiredMinimum of 5–15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on conveyance systems and managing projects and proposal writingExperience with the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projectsExperience with project management principles and practicesStrong understanding of trenchless technologiesNASSCO certificationMichigan Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredTechnical Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design softwareBenefitsAt OHM Advisors, our people are our greatest asset.
