GBM Private, Capital Solutions Group, Equity Capital Markets - VP - New York location_on New York, NY, United States Role Responsibilities You will help originate & lead equity capital market transactions for our financial sponsor, venture capital and corporate clients You will develop content for meetings with clients regarding their strategy and potential M&A or capital market transactions You will liaise with multiple internal (e.g. junior and senior team members across different product groups) and external parties (e.g. client management teams, investors lawyers) on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives You will complete and review the analytical work of junior team members, and provide mentorship and oversight to the junior team You will have to think creatively to perform investor targeting of potential institutional buyers, analyzing comparable companies and institutional cross ownership You will play a vital role throughout the entire transaction process, including project management for mission-critical equity financings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years’ relevant work experience within ECM, Capital Markets, or related Experience covering Industrials clients preferred, but not essential 2+ years’ experience leading deal teams of analysts and associates Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities Capacity to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact Well-rounded academic background from a top tier institution Understanding of transaction cycles and the steps in the process Demonstrate maturity to work with all levels of professionals across the firm and external clients Possess good judgment to make quick and complex decisions Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $250000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
