Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational setting south of Chicago. This in-person contract role offers the chance to work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within a small, welcoming community. Help students thrive by providing speech and language services for the full 2026-2027 school year. The commitment is 12-16 hours per week, making this position ideal for those seeking a flexible schedule while making a genuine difference in a high-needs environment.
What we’re seeking:
- Hold current Illinois SLP and PEL credentials
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Experience delivering speech therapy in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow specialists
- A commitment to personalized support for students who need it most
Your role will include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy to students on your caseload
- Conducting screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring throughout the year
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation and collaborating in IEP meetings
- Partnering with school staff and families to ensure students’ communication needs are met
