RF Engineer

Position Overview

The RF/Microwave Engineer will support the manufacturing of complex, multi-function RF and microwave modules used in demanding, high-reliability applications. This role focuses on hands-on analysis, troubleshooting, and production support of advanced electronic modules, including amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation, and frequency conversion circuits.

The engineer will work closely with manufacturing, test, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve assembly and test issues, ensure product performance, and support high-quality production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations to troubleshoot and resolve RF/microwave assembly and test issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex RF and microwave circuits, including amplifiers, mixers, switches, and frequency generation/conversion circuits.
• Perform testing, tuning, and characterization of microwave circuits to meet product specifications.
• Review and interpret technical documentation, including specifications, schematic diagrams, and test data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineers, systems engineers, circuit design engineers, technicians, and manufacturing support personnel.
• Support root-cause analysis activities and recommend corrective actions to improve yield, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required at time of submittal.
• Bachelor's degree in RF/Microwave Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in RF/Microwave Engineering.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience testing, tuning, and troubleshooting microwave circuits.
• Working knowledge of RF/microwave test equipment, including:
• Network Analyzers
• Spectrum Analyzers
• Phase Noise Analyzers
• Demonstrated ability to review, understand, and apply technical documentation and test data.

This is a contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $79.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
