Senior Recruitment and Engagement Specialist Department: John Glenn | Student Affairs Location: Page Hall (0061) Responsibilities Independently implements and evaluates comprehensive recruitment strategies to increase applications and enrollment for undergraduate and graduate programs. Coordinates complex, large‑scale outreach initiatives, including high‑school, college, and community‑college engagement. Represents Glenn College at campus, virtual, and off‑campus recruitment events; may travel in‑state and out‑of‑state for fairs and yield trips. Develops targeted, data‑informed plans for new student recruitment initiatives and contributes to strategies for new academic offerings. Builds relationships with high‑school guidance counselors, teachers, and university recruitment staff to create pipelines to high‑school populations. Acts as primary point of contact for prospective students and families, communicating complex and sensitive information professionally. Manages high‑impact initiatives such as the John Glenn Learning Community and NextGen Glenn initiatives for high‑school students. Collaborates with Office of Residence Life to deliver student programs related to policy, leadership, and service. Administers civic engagement and leadership initiatives, mentors student organizations, and teaches Public Affairs 2160: Exploring Public Affairs on an annual basis. Recruits existing Ohio State students into Glenn College programs (second majors, minors, graduate minors, certificates, and internships). Executes coordinated communications with Advancement and internal partners, including social media, newsletters, and targeted campaigns that support enrollment objectives. Performs other duties as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 4 years of recruiting and student engagement experience in an academic setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in public administration, higher education, or a related field. 4–8 years of experience in recruitment, enrollment management, or student engagement. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 office suite and SalesForce CRM. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $55,700 – $72,700 (determined by internal equity, budget, and candidate’s education and experience). Benefits: Full range of health, retirement, tuition, vacation benefits offered at Ohio State. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Work model is primarily in‑person, 3–5 days per week in the office; may require local and out‑of‑state travel, evening and weekend work as needed.
