Registered Nurse II - Medical Telemetry (RN II)The Registered Nurse II in the Medical Telemetry unit provides comprehensive and patient-centered care to individuals with both surgical and medical needs within a telemetry setting. This position involves monitoring patients, interpreting telemetry readings, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Unit Type: TelemetryNumber of Beds: 30 (structured into three 10-bed units)Patient Ratios: 1:5-6Common Diagnoses:Surgical cases including total hip & knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomies, and exploratory laparoscopies.Medical cases including MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID.Telemetry cases involving chest pain.Position Responsibilities:Administer and monitor patient care in both MedSurg Tele and PCU environments.Interpret and respond to telemetry readings effectively.Provide primary care and support to patients with varying medical conditions.Precept nursing students and participate in their educational growth.Care for stable patients requiring CPAP or BiPAP support.Collaborate with the Charge RN in managing overall patient care on the unit.Qualifications:Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MedSurg; telemetry experience is preferred.Required Certifications:ACLSBLS CertificationAbility to read and interpret telemetry strips; must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to hiring.Willing to float to multi-care and pediatric units when necessary.Work Schedule:Shift Length: 12-hour shiftsShifts: 0700/1900 – 1930/0730Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Policy: Participation in holiday rotation requiredAdditional Information:Must adhere to a radius rule; candidates should not currently be affiliated with any associated healthcare facilities.Orientation will include both hospital-wide and unit-specific training based on experience.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color except camouflage.Client Details Address 7700 Florentine Rd, Prescott Valley, AZ State AZ Zip Code 86314
