Senior Staff Accountant BRIEF DESCRIPTION The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a broad range of accounting functions that support accurate financial reporting and effective business operations. This role requires strong prioritization, reconciliation, research, and analytical skills, along with in-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Key responsibilities include managing complex intercompany transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close processes. Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant Pay: $105,000 Responsibilities Complete timely and accurate monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Manage intercompany consignment agreements and related accounting activities. Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, depreciation, amortization, and other recurring and non-recurring entries. Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies, unusual trends, and potential control issues. Compile and prepare information requested by external and internal auditors and tax accountants. Provide guidance and support to promote understanding of IFRS accounting requirements. Perform and support month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close activities. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within general ledger accounts. Ensure accounting activities comply with Company procedures and internal control requirements. Represent the Accounting department in cross-functional projects, as needed. Maintain assigned process documentation and support continuous improvements to accounting procedures. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles. Experience with accounting software, Business Central and Quickbooks Online. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, primarily strong excel knowledge.
