Senior Tax Associate

This role may involve a hybrid or predominantly remote setup. For remote positions, candidates should be located somewhere in Hawaii and be present in the office a few days per week during busy tax seasons.Responsibilities:Handles technical tax preparation and review for tax returns and government tax assessments of varying complexities.Takes full responsibility for tax returns and delegates tasks to tax preparers as needed.Demonstrates expertise and proficiency in advanced technical skills required for client consulting.Manages all client service tasks to ensure timely completion within budgeted time frames.Delegates and oversees tax research projects to deliver accurate and efficient results.Manages government tax assessments and may represent clients before taxing authorities.Stays current with the qualifications of all tax staff members and reviews assignments for suitability.Supervises tax staff and provides on-the-job training.Supervisory Responsibilities:Develops, coaches, and trains Semi-seniors and Staff accountants.Must understand the qualifications of all Tax staff members for training and development needs.Participates in reviews and evaluations of the Tax Department.Qualifications:Minimum of three years' experience in public accounting, showing progression in tax complexity, scope, and research.
