Strativ Group is supporting an aerospace company in the search for an experienced Senior Test Engineer

This is a hands-on role focused on physical testing of complex electrical, mechanical and integrated aerospace systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures
• Own the full test lifecycle from setup and instrumentation through to analysis and reporting
• Support functional, environmental, structural, vibration, thermal and qualification testing
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, failure modes and performance gaps
• Analyse test data and provide technical recommendations
• Support test readiness, safety reviews and formal verification activities
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and programme teams
• Improve test processes, coverage and engineering quality standards

What we're looking for:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in test engineering, hardware validation, systems test or engineering verification
• Hands-on experience testing complex physical systems or integrated hardware
• Strong understanding of test planning, instrumentation, data capture and reporting
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• A disciplined approach to quality, reliability and safety

Desirable:

• Aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive, energy or other mission-critical hardware experience
• Experience with environmental, vibration, thermal, structural or endurance testing
• Familiarity with DAQ systems, sensors and test equipment
• Experience with qualification, acceptance or requirements-based testing
• Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW or similar data analysis experience
