This position will be responsible for coordination of and reporting on programs, budgets, key performance indicators, contracts, grant compliance, and mayor and council communications. Work will focus on tracking the status of projects and budgets, development of dashboards, prioritizing activities, and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external customers to ensure adherence to City plans and procedures.This is a grant-funded position.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or relatedPreferred Qualifications:Five (5) years of experience in local government administrationExperienced with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperienced with Peoplesoft Financials, Neighborly software, and SmartsheetKnowledge and skill in principles of budget preparation, analysis, forecasting and controlAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writingThe Management Analyst I job responsibilities include:Developing, monitoring, and analyzing division budgets and expendituresProviding monthly budget and project status reportsCommunicating budget and funding issues, project performance, and statusPreparing internal memoranda, mayor & council communications, written reports, spreadsheet analyses, and program schedulesDeveloping dashboards and project tracking methodologies to ensure situational awareness of Departmental programs and projectsEnsuring coordination between federal and local budgets, ensuring consistency across various software platforms and Department divisionsAssisting with grant reporting, grant development, and grant budgetingWorking on another project request from the supervisorWorking Conditions & Physical DemandsDepending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
