Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator - Warehouse Job Description
This role focuses on operating a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment to safely load and unload kegs and cases, manage inventory using RF scanners and WMS/SAP, and support shipping and receiving activities in a climate-controlled facility.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse with regular access to refrigerated areas to retrieve product and cases. Work is performed on 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) or 3rd shift (11:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday), supporting a fast-paced brewery and warehouse operation in the Richmond, VA area. You will use stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and WMS/SAP systems as part of daily tasks. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with expectations to keep work areas tidy and equipment properly stored. Dress comfortably and appropriately for warehouse work and occasional time in refrigerated spaces, with any required protective gear provided in line with facility standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift to load and unload new and used kegs when trucks arrive.
- Receive bin numbers and accurately locate beer pallets in refrigerated storage areas.
- Use RF scanners and WMS/SAP systems to track, verify, and update inventory movements.
- Load and unload shipping trucks in an efficient and organized manner.
- Prepare packages and pallets for shipping, ensuring correct labeling, documentation, and staging.
- Move, stack, and organize kegs and cases in the stockroom and warehouse according to storage plans.
- Remain solution oriented when locating and moving materials, resolving issues with misplaced or hard-to-find stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory by following established processes for counting, scanning, and recording product movements.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards during downtime, including sweeping, trash removal, and proper storage of equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures related to forklift operation, material handling, and working in refrigerated areas.
- Collaborate with team members and shipping/receiving staff to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Use basic computer skills to access systems, complete simple data entry, and review work assignments.
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift (certification will be provided onsite if needed).
- Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with WMS/SAP or similar warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift cases up to 35 lbs and maneuver kegs up to 170 lbs safely.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
- Comfort working in a very fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail when locating, scanning, and moving inventory.
- Ability to work independently and remain solution oriented when resolving material handling challenges.
- Previous food and beverage industry experience preferred.
- Experience in inventory control, loading, and unloading in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work on 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., Monday-Friday) or 3rd shift (11:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday), as assigned.
- Comfort working in refrigerated areas to retrieve product and cases.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams.
