We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech for the Operating Room. The candidate must have experience with cranial procedures and orthopedic trauma. It is essential for candidates to be competent in taking neuro-trauma call independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in total joint and level II trauma. General OR experience in addition to orthopedic trauma is necessary. Candidates must adhere to a strict fingernail policy where artificial nails are prohibited. The OR consists of 11 suites with an average of 18 cases per day. Common cases include orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neuro-backs. Experience with robotic assistance is preferred. Techs are required to scrub for procedures. There will be a manager and charge nurse present on each shift. The schedule includes eight to ten-hour shifts beginning at 0700, Monday through Friday. Call requirements include two weeknights and three weekend days per month. A response time of 15 minutes is required for call situations. Travelers must be flexible and willing to float to assist when needed. It is essential for candidates to have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
