HVAC Installation Lead Technician

Installation TechnicianThe Installation Technician reports to the Installation Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVAC installation jobs for light commercial and residential customers. Customer-based activities require an individual possessing traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner. Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of working contacts being customers, other Hentkowski technicians, the Installation Manager and the EstimatorReplies within 24 hoursBenefits include: Short Term Disability & Life, Dental - Optional, Aflac - Optional, Simple IRA matching, Tool Allowance - Yearly, Opportunity for advancement, Training & development, Company car, Competitive salary, Employee discounts, Free food & snacks, Free uniforms, Health insurance, Paid time off, Tuition assistance, Vision insurance, Dental insuranceRepresentative duties include:Serving as a member of Installation Department teams which are organized to conduct HVAC installation jobs in an efficient and timely manner.Installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including oil & gas furnaces or boiler, air conditioners, heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, ductless system, IAQ products and water heatersPerforming routine HVAC installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.Assisting in training of new employees on installation related subjects, including callback prevention and installation protocols.Conducting point-of-work sales of Indoor Air Quality services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and referrals for the sales staff.Conducting non-installation work in support of the Service Departments, as assigned.Performing related duties as directed by the Installation Manager.Job Qualifications include:High school graduate, GED or graduate of a post-secondary HVAC program.Three or more years of successful and full-time HVAC experience, as a installation technician.Good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' installation instructions and clearly communicate with residential, commercial, and industrial customers, suppliers, and other Hentkowski employees.Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances, and extreme weather conditions existent in (state).Interest and initiative in maintaining his/her HVAC skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.Current driver's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet. Must not have had a DUI/DWI within the past 5 years.
