In this role, you'll work closely with customers to assess,migrate, and modernise Oracle database workloads to AWS-native database services,helping them reduce licensing costs, improve performance, and unlock cloud-nativecapabilities.Possessing a deep understanding of Oracle Database architectures and AWSdatabase services, you will be proficient in designing and executing complexdatabase migration and modernisation strategies. You'll assess existing Oracleestates, recommend target architectures using services such as Amazon Aurora,Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift, and lead end-to-endmigration delivery using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and SchemaConversion Tool (SCT).As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide guidance on databasemodernisation patterns, emerging cloud-native data technologies, andinnovative solutions. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.Basic qualifications- 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience- 7+ years of Oracle Database administration, development, or architecture experience (Oracle 12c/19c/21c)- 7+ years of database architecture experience including schema design, normalization, performance tuning, and high-availability configurations (RAC, Data Guard)- 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL, extensions, partitioning)- Experience with AWS DMS, AWS SCT, and heterogeneous database migration methodologiesPreferred qualification - AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
