In this full-time role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized equipment. Youll work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care./ppWhat Youll Do/pulliPerform mammography exams following department protocols, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages./liliEnsure proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation./liliOperate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images./liliAdhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment./liliProvide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns with empathy./liliPractice infection control and sterile techniques./liliAccurately complete documentation and patient records./liliFollow protocols for coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment reporting./li/ulpQualifications/ppRequired/pulliGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program/liliARRT Certification/liliState Radiologic Technologist License/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers/li/ulpPreferred/pulliARRT Mammography Certification or currently enrolled in formal mammography training/liliExperience in Imaging and/or Mammography/li/ulpSkills Youll Bring/pulliMammography Biopsy Procedures/liliRadiation Protection Safety/liliPatient Care Communication/liliImage Evaluation Positioning/liliDocumentation Recordkeeping/liliEmergency Response Task Prioritization/li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies./liliFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations./liliManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items./liliNeed to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
