Connect Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a warehouse / distribution operation in Spartanburg, SC. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18.00/hr on a day shift with frequent overtime expected. In this role, you will pick orders from pick tickets, stage outbound shipments, and unload inbound deliveries using a forklift, pallet jack, and handheld scan devices. The facility operates a full-time schedule and overtime is a regular part of the workweek — not occasional.

Pay: $18.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:45pm, OT as needed (frequent)

Responsibilities

• Pick inventory from pick tickets provided by inventory coordinators and ship/receive staff, scanning bins and labels to confirm pick location accuracy.
• Stage outbound inventory for internal and external transfers.
• Unload inbound deliveries and move materials to designated staging areas using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Perform inventory cycle counts using a scan gun.
• Restock materials and components in assigned warehouse locations.
• Build accessory kits and component packages to support kitting and assembly operations.
• Report damaged inventory to the Inventory Supervisor and Quality team.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling environment.
• Active forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with order picking using pick tickets or a WMS (Warehouse Management System).
• Familiarity with cycle counting procedures and inventory accuracy processes.
• Experience in kitting, assembly support, or component staging.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment year-round.
• Experience with hand tools and basic assembly tasks.
• Experience operating a pallet jack and handheld scan devices.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods at a fast pace.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.

• Must communicate effectively in English.
