Full‑Time Lab Associate I – Phlebotomy at Memorial (Belleville, IL) Job Details Day shift: 9am‑6:30pm with every other weekend rotation; 3 holidays per year Outpatient & In‑patient Extra Holiday Pay for designated holidays Experience Preferred: 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience. If you have experience in one of the following areas, you could be a great fit: Phlebotomist Lab Technician Lab Associate Laboratory Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) BLS certification Phlebotomy certification 2 years of experience (preferred); No experience required Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and maintain specimen integrity. Coordinate simultaneous tasks accurately, including STAT orders and workload fluctuations, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and turnaround times. Interact with lab, clinical, and other ancillary departments. Perform non‑blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling, routine processing, and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Laboratory Department Overview The Laboratory Department provides a wide variety of assays and procedures to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of most disease states for our inpatient and outpatient patients. Services include phlebotomy, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, point‑of‑care, and pathology.
