After School Program Assistant Part Time

About Naples Classical Academy:

Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. Naples Classical Academy is a growing public charter school that opened in the fall of 2021 and now serves scholars grades K - 12. Our school follows a classical curriculum that includes a variety of important subjects including History, Philosophy, Language Arts, Mathematics, visual arts, science, music, physical education, and others. The essence of virtue, Western philosophy, and moral character permeates our curriculum as we seek to instill a love for knowledge and learning in our scholars.

Position :

The After School Program assistant monitors students and conducts the program under the direction of the Base (after school program) manager. The assistants will help create a structured, safe, and secure environment for students weekday afternoons. The position is a 4 hour day, with a possible split shift option.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Assist the manager in developing and implementing a structured program of activities for students who remain on campus after school

2. Organize, monitor, and lead various activities, including but not limited to games, sports, study time, and snack

3. Oversee student behavior and discipline in a manner consistent with the school’s mission to develop students of character and virtue

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required

2. Experience working with students, preferably in a physical education setting or after school program preferred
