Quality Control Analyst

Job Title

Responsibilities

• Sample receiving, logging, and storage
• Conduct Quality Control (QC) testing of in-process and release samples by performing a variety of methods both molecular and microbiological in nature
  • Anaerobic bacterial culture and maintenance
  • DNA and RNA purification from microbial culture
  • Sanger sequencing
  • Flow cytometry
• Perform method and instrument suitability, qualification, and validation, as necessary
• Author and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in training of QC team members
• Perform operation and maintenance of specialized equipment
• Ensure general laboratory and equipment cleanliness
• Communicate clearly with QC team and manager
• Document and relay results accurately
• Maintain clear, organized, and thorough record-keeping and data entry
• Meet GMP and GLP requirements and principles
• Complete paperwork and associated documentation in compliance with GMP guidelines
  • Initiate and/or author out-of-specification reports, deviations, and change controls, as required
