Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week contract position in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The RN will provide direct nursing care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and coordinate services with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

This position requires a rotating day/night schedule and involves patient assessment, education, discharge planning, early recognition of clinical changes, and timely intervention to support safe patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on each patient's physical, psychological, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.

• Monitor patient condition, identify early signs of deterioration, and initiate appropriate nursing or emergency interventions when clinically indicated.

• Administer nursing care, evaluate patient responses, manage pain appropriately, and revise interventions based on ongoing assessment findings.

• Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and promote understanding of treatment and follow-up care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Requirements

• Active North Dakota Registered Nurse (RN) License or Qualifying Compact RN License Required Prior to Start.

• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification Required Prior to Start.

• Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification Required Prior to Start.

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required Prior to Start.

• Current S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification Required Prior to Start.

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care while supporting patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
