Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observation methods.
• Design individualized treatment strategies that address immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive treatment plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the therapy sessions.
• Conduct speech therapy evaluations and treatments for inpatients when necessary, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain meticulous, up-to-date documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification is required.

Certifications Required

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
