TRANSPORTATION OFFICER

Overview Jacksonville Youth Academy is a 24-bed, all-boys program dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for students to thrive and achieve their full potential. The academy offers comprehensive training programs for staff to promote a well-rounded, normalized high school experience for students while fostering an environment of growth, positive change, and achievement. Pay and Benefits Pay: $20.00 per hour. Medical, Dental, Vision: Covered by the company. Company-Paid Life Insurance: Within 90 days of employment. 401(k) Matching: Up to 6% after one year of employment. Paid Time Off: Accrued time can be used immediately. Responsibilities A Transportation Officer is responsible for safely transporting students to and from off-site appointments while ensuring their safety, supervision, and well-being. As a member of the Student Services Team, the officer follows transportation schedules, enforces staff-to-student ratios, adheres to safe driving practices, and maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The role also includes serving as a positive role model, assisting during emergencies, completing required documentation, participating in training and meetings, and supporting a safe, respectful, and positive environment for students and staff. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Age: At least 21 years old. Background & Tests: Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical exam, TB test, and a search of the child and adult abuse central registry. Driver’s License: Current State Driver’s License with acceptable record for the past three years. CDL: CDL license holders are eligible to drive buses and large vans.
