Starting rate is $25 per flat rate and going up from there We pay an additional hourly rate for GM warranty repairs to offset factory labor times and ensure your expertise is properly compensated. Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs. Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Required License/Certification Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Required Experience Two years’ experience as an Automotive Technician or more Anyone who has graduated with a technical diploma or an associate’s degree in automotive or repair Preferred Experience Three or more years’ experience as an Automotive Technician To qualify for hiring bonuses you must have ASE or similar technical certifications Physical Demands Ability to stand for 10 hours or more Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Work Environment This job operates within an automotive dealership service department. This role routinely uses machinery, equipment, and chemicals to maintenance and repair automobiles. Sommer's is a drug free workplace.
