Overview
Registered Nurse – Oncology, Berlin, Vermont. This travel assignment begins on 10/26/2026 and runs for 16 weeks in a hospital-based outpatient infusion/oncology clinic. The role offers 40 hours per week on 8-hour day shifts (Mon–Fri) with a weekly pay range of $2,495 to $2,675. No weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous chemotherapy and biotherapy agents to adult oncology patients in the outpatient infusion clinic, ensuring correct dosing, administration routes, and safety protocols
- Monitor patient status during infusion, assess for reactions, manage symptoms, and respond promptly to adverse events
- Establish and maintain peripheral IV access, program infusion pumps, verify compatibility and rates, and document procedures
- Prepare, label, and verify medications; document all medication administration in the electronic medical record; reconcile discrepancies
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and nursing staff to coordinate care plans; participate in rounds and care coordination discussions
- Educate patients and caregivers about treatment regimens, potential side effects, home care, and follow-up needs; provide written materials as needed
- Maintain unit safety, infection control standards, inventory management, and proper handling/disposal of hazardous materials
- Ensure adherence to chemotherapy safety guidelines and unit protocols; communicate changes in patient status to the care team

Requirements
- Active RN license in Vermont (or eligibility as applicable)
- BLS certification
- Chemo and biotherapy certification
- 2+ years of clinical experience; 2+ years in oncology/hematology infusion or related specialty
- Outpatient infusion/oncology experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years

Education and credentials
- Nursing degree from an accredited program; licensure appropriate for practice as an RN in the state of Vermont
- Additional certifications as noted above (BLS, chemo/biotherapy)
