Software Engineer - Sensor HIL Platform Architect and develop an automated test system for various sensor emulation. Location: Foster City, California, United States Compensation: $162,000 - 233,000 USD / year About The Role Zoox is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join our Advanced Hardware Engineering team and focus on building an automated test system for emulating various sensors. In this role, you will architect, design, code, document and lead the work from start to finish. Qualifications BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant disciplines 7+ years of industry experience Strong proficiency in Python and C++ Familiarity with networking and socket programming Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with build systems, version control, and testing methodologies Experience with development on Linux systems Experience with hardware and software integration and testing Working knowledge of schematic design and PCB layout tool Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with console and graphical UI frameworks Experience with safety-critical systems Experience with designing and implementing custom Verilog RTL for Xilinx FPGAs Experienced in embedded software design for ARM cores on Xilinx and Xilinx SDK Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $162,000 to$233,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
