This CMA position may float to other local primary care offices as needed.

Shift: Mon - Thurs 8 - 5 PM and Fridays 8 - 1 PM

Status: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate support: Your empathy and calm demeanor can help alleviate anxiety and create a sense of comfort and continuity throughout their treatment journey.
• Enhancing clinical efficiency: By managing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures, you set the team up for success and ensure patients receive remarkable care.
• Ensuring coordinated care: You are a vital link in the communication chain between the patient and the healthcare team. By accurately documenting information and coordinating appointments, you help ensure that every step of a patient's complex treatment plan is organized and seamless.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA), RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
