Registered NurseThis position offers guaranteed hours preferred. The unit has a total of 24 beds and a staff of 7. The staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 nurses on day shifts, as well as 2 patient care technicians and 1 unit clerk. Night shift staffing includes similar levels. Patient ratios are set at 6:1. Equipment used includes BLS, NIHSS, and EMR systems, specifically Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include: PIV insertion, management, and removal; Central line management and removal; Foley insertion, management, and removal; NG tube management and removal; Drain management and removal; Wound care and ostomy management; Continuous bladder irrigation; Chest tube management; EKG monitoring. Machines and equipment utilized on the unit include: Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer lifts, Feeding pumps, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines, iMobile Vein Finder. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs.
