The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, Scouting America is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven District Executive to help shape the future of our communities by developing tomorrow's leaders.

As a District Executive, you will serve as a key professional leader responsible for growing Scouting programs, recruiting and supporting volunteers, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring that youth throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania have access to life-changing experiences that build character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness.

What You'll Do

Lead Growth and Impact

• Expand Scouting programs by identifying new opportunities for youth and families.
• Develop strategic plans to grow membership and increase community engagement.
• Help ensure every young person has the opportunity to benefit from Scouting's proven leadership development programs.

Build Meaningful Relationships

• Establish partnerships with schools, civic organizations, faith-based institutions, businesses, and community leaders.
• Recruit, train, and inspire volunteers who deliver exceptional Scouting experiences.
• Serve as a trusted ambassador for Scouting America's mission throughout the district.

Fund the Mission

• Coordinate fundraising campaigns and special events that support local youth programs.
• Engage community stakeholders and donors in advancing the council's mission.
• Help secure the resources needed to expand and strengthen Scouting opportunities.

Develop Volunteer Leaders

• Coach and mentor volunteer teams to achieve district goals.
• Facilitate training and leadership development opportunities.
• Recognize and celebrate volunteer achievements and contributions.

Make a Lasting Difference

• Support programs that foster leadership, confidence, resilience, and service.
• Help create transformative experiences for thousands of youth across the region.
• Contribute to a movement that has been changing lives for more than a century.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Leadership, sales, fundraising, nonprofit, education, business development, or community engagement experience.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
