Basic Job Functions: Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Crane and Mobile Mechanical Maintenance who demonstrates high levels of honesty,integrity, and ownership in everything they do. The selected teammate will ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems. Duringconstruction, maintenance electricians will help build the mill and create our computerized maintenance management system to ensure proper design criteria and equipment reliability. Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process with a focus on safety, reliability, quality, costs, and project management.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, centralized lubrication systems, alignments, powertransmission, and pumps/piping.
- Train teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment
- Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Minimum 2 years' industrial maintenance experience.
- Fundamental Mechanical Theory knowledge.
- Experience Troubleshooting Mechanical Systems.
- Prior Steel Mill experience.
- 1 year crane maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and powertrain systems.
