Weill Cornell Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders Institute: Clinical Research Coordinator Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Neurology and the Department of Neurodegenerative Disorders. Dates: July 2026 to July 2028 (2 years, approximate) Position Summary: Weill Cornell Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders Institute in New York, NY is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and hard‑working individuals to join the research team for a two‑year position. As a coordinator, you will play a pivotal role alongside a team of neurologists and nurse practitioners specializing in pharmaceutical and biotechnological clinical trials in Parkinson’s. Your responsibilities will encompass assessing eligibility and recruiting patients for research studies, organizing patient study visits, conducting various assessments including EKGs, cognitive assessments, and questionnaires, liaising with study sponsors, and preparing submissions to the IRB. Furthermore, this role offers extensive opportunities to shadow neurologists, participate in lectures offered by Weill Cornell Medicine, and attend Parkinson’s research conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to enter medical school or pursue other health‑related fields to gain invaluable hands‑on clinical and patient‑facing experience. Candidates who cannot commit 2 years to the role will NOT be considered. Responsibilities Coordinates the recruitment and enrollment of study participants Aids in assessing patient eligibility for studies Performs EKGs, vitals, phlebotomy, biological specimen processing and storage, pulmonary function testing, cognitive assessments, and study questionnaires with study participants Assists in creation of study databases through entering collected data Assists projects by abstracting research data from medical records and databases Ensures proper consent protocols have been followed for study participation Contacts patients for study‑related assessments Serves as main point of contact for both study patients and study sponsors Assists in preparation of materials, submissions, and renewals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory bodies Assists faculty in the preparation of grant submissions and associated documentation Handles manuscript submissions, including formatting papers and completing the online journal submission process Criteria Minimum bachelor’s degree (undergraduate science courses or pre‑medical focus is recommended but not required) Phlebotomy certification within 4 months of employment Excellent skills in interpersonal communication, time management, and organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
