Interventional Technologist I – Job Summary

• Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures such as cardiac cath, EP, angiography, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and device implantation.
• Operates specialized radiologic/interventional equipment while following safety and scope-of-practice standards.
• Prepares and supports patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Works as a scrub technologist and maintains a strict sterile field.
• Documents procedures, transfers images/data to the electronic health record, and completes quality checks.
• Performs equipment cleaning, disinfection, maintenance, and assists with QA/performance improvement.
• Provides on-call coverage as assigned, including weekends and holidays.
• May train, precept, and mentor students or new team members.
