Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot, service, and repair residential refrigeration systems (refrigerators, freezers, ice makers) and major appliances. Track down electrical faults, mechanical failures, and component defects.

• Sealed System Work: Safely perform sealed system repairs, including brazing, leak detection, evacuating systems, and recharging refrigerants in strict compliance with EPA regulations.

• Customer Service: Act as the face of the company. Explain technical issues, provide clear cost estimates, and offer maintenance tips to homeowners with a professional, friendly demeanor.

• Service Van & Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle. Manage parts inventory, document part usage, and ensure all specialized tools are properly maintained.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols regarding high voltage, gas lines, torch use, and heavy lifting. Safely recover and log chemical refrigerants according to federal law.

• Digital Dispatching: Utilize a smartphone or tablet to manage daily service schedules, log precise repair notes, update job statuses, and process customer payments on-site.

• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the dispatch office regarding scheduling adjustments, parts ordering, and warranty processing to ensure seamless daily operations.

The essential functions of this role include:
