Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must hold a license as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state Certifications: Continuing education courses preferred Must-Have: - Ability to evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs - Experience using Electronic Medical Records for documentation - Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare team members - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy Description: Great opportunity for a Physical Therapist. The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve mobility, function, and strength. Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervise assistants and aides regarding all aspects of patient care. Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions and test results. Ensure patients are comfortable and address their questions as needed. Collaborate closely with the front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up. Possess necessary computer skills for job requirements, including typing and EMR. Make independent decisions regarding patient care. Participate in marketing and referral processes when necessary. Ensure compliance with all privacy policies and procedures. Maintain familiarity with billing policies and procedures. Be physically mobile, as the job requires a combination of sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility and transfers is required. Expected to protect the privacy of all patient information according to relevant policies and procedures. Actively participate in privacy training and communicate relevant information to coworkers and patients. This position works in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. Physical demands include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and moving throughout working hours. The role requires constant alertness for patient safety. No travel is expected for this position.
