As an Operational Excellence Leader in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Under moderate supervision this position is responsible for assisting management in the development of a vision to systematically improve business operations on an on-going basis. Your work will include:Responsible for developing a continuous improvement culture using Lean tools in a pragmatic manner to implement timely, value-added change within the business.Provide leadership in driving culture changes needed to build support & participation in operational improvement initiatives.Drive to increase visibility of operational waste and ineffectiveness with an objective of chartering and implementing actions to address these issues:Conduct TrainingQuality & Continuous Improvement (A3 Problem Solving, Manager in Field, 8D Event Resolution, Visual Management)FMEA facilitation.Workshop Mode (VSM, 5S, Process Mapping, etc.)Facilitate / CoachHere & Now Meetings, A3 Projects, FMEA (and other Quality Tools), Voice of the Customer, 8D Event Resolution, Visual Management MeetingsEvaluate long and short-term effectiveness of corrective/preventative actions. Identify areas where these actions have not been effective and interface with applicable manager to provide additional actions.Support Operating Unit Implementation InitiativesMaster Plan (annual objective) Development and MaintenanceDigital Transformation (Process Mapping and associated A3s for Digital T.)ReportingVoC (based on Net Promoter Score), Excelle in Quality, FMEA, A3 Progress, Master PlanPerform detailed trend analysis using performance indicators developed to identify adverse trends and declining performance. Identify both good and bad findings to management and ensure management takes adequate action to address degrading or unacceptable conditions or performance.Interface with Global OpEx NetworkThis position requires occasional travel.
